<<<<< Why do you keep blaming the relatively few irresponsible people in the bottom 98 percentile of our population.>>>

Mary! GET THIS STRAIGHT! I have always blamed Bush for where we are. I have NEVER blamed Clinton for where we are. I have never blamed Obama for where we are. Put this on your computer screen if you can't remember from one post to the next. Why in explaining how Clinton managed the economy so well - in any way blames him is just bizarre.

<<<< Why do you keep blaming the relatively few irresponsible people in the bottom 98 percentile of our population.>>>

Huh? Explaining the facts is not placing blame! It's explaining the facts. Saying baby boomers are retiring in huge numbers is NOT suggesting they are to blame - it is stating the facts. The more baby boomers entering retirement the fewer that pay taxes and the bigger the drain on especially Medicaire. That's a fact and is NOT blaming people. Why do you think that?

As to the bottom 98 percentile; Gee, is all but 2% a bottom? Anyway, comments have been made in the last couple of days that the Bush tax cuts are responsible for our debt. That of course is partially the case. But need I remind you that that bottom 98 percentile also benefited from this Bush tax cut. Going after the top 1% gets that back - but nothing and no one is asking for a return to the Clinton tax rates for the rest of us - the bottom 98%. So how do we make that money back? That money and the additional cost of the baby boomers and the additional cost of interest cost on the Bush borrowed moeny and the additional cost of the rapid rise in medical care cost? Okay, we raised the taxes on the top 1% and will MAKE NO PROGRESS on debt. What now? What now? Raise taxes on the 1% some more?
