Social Philosophy and Governance is a difficult field. But just as the American Experience started with a few principles to underpin all law...so the next step must establish some additional principles.

Now we know that the whole idea of democracy rests on the principles of equal rights and the equality of human life. If this principle is fundamental, then it follows that any groups of individuals claiming special moral or political or social superiority (or any other special status) ought to be outlawed. Artificial distinctions are unjust and rob humans of the gifts of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Reality is real. Distinctions should be real. If I have more money than you, then I have more money than you--and my life can be either better or different or both. But artificial groupings based strictly on wishful judgement and prejudice have no place in a human society. Being a Muslim or a Christian or a Buddhist or a Jew should mean absolutely nothing to anyone outside of your group. Just as all individuals are considered equal--so ought all groups to be. Just as individuals do not (in principle) differ in rights by virtue of their size or ability--so groups ought not to enjoy privilege based on power.

I am not speaking of natural difference. But of self serving and self defined superiority and privilege such as claimed by our resident Nimrod...
