Two truths buried in the muck:

1) Don't complain about the GD PP. Raising cash is the most important thing -- lack of cash (and the talent it buys) still remains the biggest threat. If you're worried about 8% on the money, then you shouldn't be in this one. The conservative upside is several orders of magnitude above that cash inflow. Raising cash that you don't have to pay back is no easy thing, either.

2) The "replace the whole damn factory" is not as silly as it sounds. This whole problem is a great excuse for computer and floor operations managers to argue for the new equipment they've been asking for all along, or to replace every potentially non-compliant chip or control system.

Companies will watch just how expensive and inconvenient the tava solution is, and make their decisions accordingly.
