does anyone know if colonoscopies are supposed to be covered under insurance as preventative care... i have different people (one guy is a physician) tell me i shouldn't have to pay anything... but my insurance co says it's a $4000 procedure and they will cover part but i will have to cough up about $1800 bucks... i have blue cross blue shield for over 10 yrs now, only started using it last year for basic check-ups and screenings because i hadn't been to a doctor in probably 20 yrs (other than a prostate exam) and because i'm now over 50 of course i guess it depends on the particular policy and varies depending on state? where's my Obamacare and my Obama-phone!?? lolol
