They didn't legalize anything - they said your rights are protected and they expected you to carry a military style assault weapon of the day so you could be in the militia if one was needed. It's not an interpretation it's an understanding of the intent of the written word. That's the trouble with you libtards - you want to interpret as opposed to reading the history surrounding the creation of the the right and the meaning the founders had in mind.
