Aah. This is what Ballmer keeps on saying about Microsoft. That he has tripled the revenues and profits under his tenure. If growing revenues and profits was all a management has to do, then it shouldn't need investors. Investors want the stock price to go up - they don't really care whether the revenue is growing fast enough or slow enough. KO grows revenue at a very low rate - but Buffett keeps on holding onto the stock because the stock doesn't go down much. It is managed well.

The issue here is not about the operation of the company. I hope and think that it is doing fine. The issue is how the management is managing the cash position and also how it is managing the growth of the stock. Now, don't tell me about how it has grown so much over the so many years. That is irrelevant. This management wasn't there. Don't tell me how Cook has grown the stock so much. The Jobs halo was still around in the initial days - also, the stock was being held back near the end of Jobs' days because of the fear. This CEO has performed very poorly as far as the stock goes.

Who is selling the stock right now? It can't be the "smart" funds, long term investors. They should have sold before the end of the year if they were smart. Right now, it has to be the shorts.
