Eastern.

1 January

That's when the contest begins.

Marty's response to my objections was to tell me why and how the new rules were created, rather than to take concrete steps to reverse mistakes. He understood how upset I was and offered parallel accounting for the "blindside" group. He even offered to compensate Kapnek out of his own pocket if, at the end, my charity lost by a nose. Those offers REALLY pissed me off, and I went ballistic.

And then, with my increasing frustration, he asked that we take the dispute public.

It's now 4 January, and there have been no concrete steps taken to improve this year's contest. We start with liabilities..... cost bases that differ among contestants and submarine portfolios, and with legitimate reason to bitch for some. Let's hope that one of the pre-close 12/31 entrants that posted to the thread wins and wins by a huge margin. Everybody will, as usual, be happy! I'm considering only that group, the blindside group and late newbies, when it comes time to donate.

Good luck, all.
