OT: I walked in the "Windows store" - actually Microsoft store three days ago. It was mobbed. OK, so it was Jan 1 when everything was mobbed, but it was still mobbed. So let's not talk about "laughs".

Brooklyn Investor has some good thoughts about AAPL: brooklyninvestor.blogspot.com (I usually don't post links to his blog since it is known to people here).

I hold small position in AAPL, large position in MSFT and medium position - by now - in NOK.
IMHO, this year the competition will be really fierce, so probably I should sell all of them. IMHO, Apple is losing the edge, especially in phones, which is the biggest profit contributor and has highest margins. In tablets iPad presumably is the winner still, but in phones both Android and Win Phone are reaching the level and surpassing iPhone in a variety of metrics. Sure AAPL has loyal fanboy crowd and people tied into their ecosystem, so it's not going to be immediate loss of market, but overall, I would not be so sanguine about them.

I do not think any of these companies are great buys. I would not short any of these companies either.
