So, Mountain Lion has been the fastest adopted Mac operating system in history.

Off the top of my head I can't think of anything that Mountain Lion has that would cause folks to upgrade quicker than they did previously.
I think that both the ease and the cost of upgrading to Mountain Lion make it a more attractive idea for a lot of people. So I wouldn't expect stratospheric computer sales based on that metric.
