"It's so obvious."

You'd think so, right? Makes you wonder about the loyalties of said economists.

How about this one? "Run government like a business!"

Well done emergency manager pusher, Governor Snyder.

Lansing —

As a result of human error, about 10 percent of Bridge Cards were not loaded with food assistance as expected. The Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget is working to resolve an error that impacted 85,000 food assistance recipients and their families — about 50,000 of those cases have been resolved with the rest expected by Saturday morning.

DTMB failed to provide a required file, causing the error, a statement from the department said. Clients with an identification number ending in “0” are impacted.

“DTMB understands the hardship that this situation has caused Michigan families and the inconvenience to the businesses that serve them,” said DTMB spokesperson Kurt Weiss. “We are working around the clock to correct the problem as quickly as possible and we will determine why it occurred.”

Recipients of food assistance can contact the customer service number at (888) 678-8914 for updates and additional information.
