Hello Wallace Rivers. I keep looking at these discount retailers, and generally keep passing.

My opinion of FDO, is also like yours: watch for lower price: maybe at $52 -- maybe much lower.

I have a few tracking shares of DLTR, bought near a few points from the 12-mo high -- an embarrassing mistake now. I can't remember - or see - why I bought when I did or why I did. Perhaps the old story -- a trade gone wrong and now an investment.
At the stock's current lower price, I'm not willing to add shares.

I agree with benbuffett, "BIG looks most under valued by several metrics." I've been adding in $28-30 area. More so each time stock breaks below $28. I'm a long-term follower of the company and stock. There's a negative opinion on BIG here, fwiw: blogs.barrons.com (essentially: company has too many special sales reducing margins & perhaps showing poor merchandise mix; competitive threats are increasing; hurricane Sandy will have an affect, as might Washington tax/spending policies).
I expect to continue to hold varying amounts of shares in this one though as I have for the past maybe 30 years.
