Certainly the ADSL market is real and many players will do well possibly including those you mention. There is no one killer product that will sweep the game.

As far as channelizing ADSL - ADSL is a twisted pair transport method and its not what carries it but what it carries. Its quite feasible and easy to combine POTS under (4kHz analog in the low spectrum)from a class five switch, DS0s in the payload for ISDN and even derived POTS as well as either raw TCP/IP packets or ATM for the TCP/IP data and even MPEGII movies also in the payload. If ATM is used purely in the payload then all of the above is possible with one uniform multiplexing technique that supports all services and is consistant with the direction of the public backbone network.
