As always, thanks for the charts, G!

I did another annual review on AMAT....fwiw.

AMAT continues to go nowhere with respect to their financials. Miniscule profit margins, return on equity and return on assets. I find it hard to believe that large shareholders are actually happy with the management of this company. Their inability to excel at anything other than issuing insiders large options packages is a disgrace, in my opinion. Truly amazing the CEO still holds his job, IMO. Personally, I'd say he's a disgrace as a CEO, even though he might be a fine person in "real life". Splinter has been in charge for nearly a decade. A lost decade, imo.

KLAC and LRCX have over 90% institutional ownership and AMAT has 77%. I think this says a bunch!

Their stock price is back where it was in 1997, over 15 years ago. Their stock has basically been flat to down for the past decade, with the 99/00 telecom bubble the only thing of note in their chart over the past 20 years.

What a lousy investment track record!!
