Same here.

Catching up mightily after knee surgery, recovery from which has gone very well. It helps to have a very stern dominatrix for a physical therapist. That's a good thing.

Macroeconomically, all is pretty much the same as it ever was since 2005, in my estimation, except for the fact that the banksters have gained even more control over the policy makers. I am very interested in seeing who will replace Turbo Timmy, who was probably the worst SecTreasury ever.

The December FOMC minutes which gave gold a downward shake were a joke. For all the hand wringing on the part of 'several' voting members, all but one voted for the extra $45 billion in QE.

I do think they are worried that perhaps QE is not working and that larger doses of it have less effect. But what is the choice? End it, and watch interest rates rise and have interest payments become an even larger item of the bloated federal budget?
