You simply WISH it was hypocrisy... I don't know why you don't simply ask "Professor Google" instead of making a complete fool of yourself on this topic:

Professor Google... what is hypocrisy???

a.) Hypocrisy is the state of promoting or administering virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that one does not actually have and is also guilty of violating.

In fact all sorts of people ACTUALLY THINK rates should be higher on those that can afford it!! No, Peter... they aren't just pretending!! LOL

Why you are so blinded by this "talking point" that is bandied all over SI by the RwingNutz is beyond me... but I guess it's sort of like this "Obama is a Socialist", or "liberals are socialist" (forget that the communist word is also used- LOL)... I fail to understand why they even talk about it when they DONT EVEN KNOW THE DEFINITION!!

Professor Google, what is Socialism???

a.) Socialism is an economic system characterised by social ownership of the means of production and co-operative management of the economy, [1] and a political philosophy advocating such a system. "Social ownership" may refer to cooperative enterprises, common ownership, state ownership, or citizen ownership of equity.

Besides that actual definition, some folks DO pay higher taxes than they need to (including, as I said, myself... which you again "wished" to ignore) simply by not deducting all they can, by NOT putting their money in the Caymen Islands and Der Schweitz; by giving to charities, BY USING THAT MONEY TO ADVOCATE FOR CHANGE, and all sorts of endless possibilities. FURTHER... your assertion that one can just demand a higher tax bracket is... well, common... it's stupid.

But you can keep dreaming that everyone who is for higher taxes are all hypocrites if it make you feel better... nor worries here.
