Alter NRG (my entry) rocketed into fifth place today after they issued a press release regarding a $1MM sale of plasma torches to a company in the Chinese steel industry. The torches will be used to retrofit existing furnaces resulting in reduced power consumption and reduced pollution levels. The sale is the first installment under a $12MM master agreement that has taken three years to negotiate. The company is primarily in the business of selling plasma gasification plants but it looks like the torch business might generate significant revenue in its own right. '13 gonna be lucky!
