Apple and Gold are very countercyclical assets right now. Today, I found myself having to lighten up on cyclicals and feeling a little better about the bounce back in Apple. The market has a couple weeks before we start doing the Texas two step with the budget ceiling. EPS season is already getting off to a lousy start with YUM and BAC preannouncing bad results today. This is going to be one of the most bizarre EPS periods we have seen in awhile. Still more of the same down the road, as higher dividend growth replace lower EPS growth.
