The unrealistic expectations of Washington very often are totally counterproductive to the agricultural vocations in general. Without actually seeing the regulations it would be hard to know if these are genuinely needed and would bring out positive changes, or if they are simply bureaucratic junk, made up by someone who never leaves their desk in DC.

I am not concerned too much that the water used to irrigate fruits and vegetables isn't of drinking quality, but on the other hand, I don't think I'd want my carrots or watermelons irrigated with runoff from a poultry farm either ...
