When you have a collection of graphics routines and some equally ancient, warmed-over DOS software, the best you can do is add tools and polish up your interface. Corel can't break anything apart because you have to have a modular, object-oriented design instead of a monolithic hairball. They tried porting the hairball office-pack -- which they developed in the first place -- and failed, as predicted.
