No coin in history, even under the Gold Standard has had a face value in excess of the value of the base metal. It's monopoly money. The Federal Reserve will reject it as a deposit. Sure try it. I think it's a great way to test the Federal Reserve System to see if they are loyal or disloyal. I guarantee the latter. When they don't accept the coin, then you should know immediately that the Federal Reserve isn't a quasi Govt Dept or Agency.
