Hi RMF; Re: "I can have a cannon in my front yard, right?"

It depends on where your front yard is. Google around and you'll find that a TV show called Myth Busters built or bought a cannon and fired it off for one of their shows. They slightly (at least) miscalculated and ended up putting a cannon-ball sized hole(s) in someone's house.

P.S. I hear people on the radio saying that automatic weapons are illegal for the American public to own. I don't think this is true. One of my buddies owned one, and Ingram Mac-11 which fires .45 if I recall. As far as I know it's still legal to own automatic weapons. Uh, there is some expensive federal paperwork and they are outlawed in some states. But you don't hear of very many people killed by them. (Except where our government is using them to maintain order world-wide.)
