I think it is obvious that Apple's supremacy in smartphones has slipped. The gap between the iPhone and every other handset on the market has become smaller and smaller with each new generation of iPhone. With respect to the S3, I think any non-partisan observer would say that, at worst, it was only slightly worse than the 4S and most would put it at parity.
