I was asking that question to myself. A simple but crude way to get all my MS bookmarks copied over was to use the export facility in MS internet explorer to export my bookmarks to a common folder/partition. I use a NTFS one.

I then started up ubuntu, found the exported file, right clicked on it and opened it as a browser. You can copy and paste bookmarks from and to different places from there.

I'm interested in learning more of course.
