Ok, so yesterday was actually the first day of Consumer Electronics Show 2013, but, with so many companies jumping the gun and making announcements on Monday, we thought we could safely call it day 2.
Our Android crack team in Las Vegas has been prowling the halls of CES looking for the weird and the wonderful, and boy they found it.

In the first proper day of the show, a number of companies have revealed their big products, but the atmosphere was calmer than on the manic Monday. Still, there were plenty of things to look at, plenty of news and announcements, enough to confuse even a savvy technology enthusiast. So, here’s our roundup of the big news you shouldn’t miss that happened on day 2 of CES.
The Asus Qube will cost $150, the Nvidia Shield will be quite moreNeither Nvidia nor Asus revealed the pricing of their new devices on Monday, but on Tuesday, we’ve found out that the Asus Qube with Google TV will cost about $150, and that Nvidia doesn’t intend to sell the Shield at cost.
So, how much will the Project Shield actually cost once it hits the markets? Judging from Nvidia’s cautious tone, we’d expect something around $400 or above.
Project Ophelia is an Android PC in search of a displayDell is back in the Android camp. Or is it? The PC giant has revealed Project Ophelia, an Android 4 ICS USB dongle that can be plugged in any display featuring an USB port, to turn it into an Android powered computer. And it’s all cloud powered. More here.
ViewSonic went overboardThe ViewSonic VSD240 is marketed as a smart display, but really, it’s a 24-inch Android tablet. Enough said.
Polaroid is alive and kickingThe venerable photography is attempting a comeback with a focus on tablets. The M10 and the M7 are Polaroid’s freshly announced tablets, and they are quite intriguing. More here.
Samsung talks Galaxy S4 rumors, Nvidia talks Tegra 4We’ve talked to a Samsung marketing boss about 2012 and the prospects for 2013.
