San Francisco -- December 2, 1997 -- AG Communication Systems and Paradyne Corporation, two market leaders in high-speed access technology, announced today that the two companies' Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) products successfully interoperate. After several weeks of extensive testing, the companies successfully configured their DSL products to work together without a hitch. The two companies are
presenting a technical paper outlining details at the ADSL Forum Summit tomorrow.

GLOBESPAN ANNOUNCES "SPLITTERLESS" DSL CHIPSET
Globespan Semiconductor announced a new "consumer-installable"
installable DSL chipset that eliminates the need for a POTS
splitter at the consumer end by using a patented Micro Data
Filter technique. The company said it will continue to
actively support and accelerate the efforts by the ITU's
G.adsl-lite committee to define a new industry standard for a
low cost, easy to use, easy to deliver DSL. Globespan claims
over 60 customers for its DSL solutions.
