Consider the premise of your "question"...with fewer guns we'd be an even more violent society...so with no guns we'd have even higher than the 11K gun murders we suffer each year? Strains credulity...
We'll never get to "no guns," so how is your argument any better than i-node's?

People often argue over whether gun restrictions increase or decrease violence, but they have it completely wrong. It's violence that leads to gun restrictions, not the other way around.
