Smart phones have, of course, replaced watches. Why would one need a watch when one carries a smart phone? On the other hand why would one buy a bulky nano when for a few bucks more you have a phone. Why carry both? Watches are probably a niche product these days, and Apple is busy enough. It surprises me though that they sell as many iPods as they do. Mostly to kids I think. TVs are not niche products and they don't have one yet. Economically they have to concentrate on that. But one wonders why they would just discontinue a product and introduce a product that mimics one they already sell.
