MRVC looks like a great buying opporunity today, as it has been every Wednesday the last 3 weeks. It has been a great sell every Friday close or Monday morning.
How many of you have ever bought any stock thinking that growth is strong, fundamentally looks good, down 50% off highs, means great buying opportunity and then found that there is bad news that comes out and the stock goes lower?
I am beginning to get negative feelings to buying and holding, with thoughts that 2-3 years from now we will definitely be higher, if the company continues to beat expectations, it would seem likely, but there are too many companies that as they continue to grow have stumbled and have not recovered. Are these the feelings at the end of the bull market? How volatile do stock moves have to be before deciding to change to intermediate term investor, short term trader, daytrader, (minute trader is next)?
Does the market or the particular stock care if I am down 40% on my investment or down 10% or up 50%? NO.
I guess the key must be that we need to evaluate (at some time interval-individual specific) would we buy the stock at this price and if not, why would we continue to hold ( sometimes there may be legitimate reasons).
