I took COBOL in college many moons ago and realized I am not the type to write code. I know my limitations. I killed many trees with the punch cards I had to throw away due to my stupidity:)
I found that if when program didn't work, I would just shuffle the cards until some sort of equilibrium was obtained.
That would guarantee that dS > 0, thermodynamic principals would be satisfied and I would then have a useful program that performed work.

Oh wait - that was FORTRAN - does it count?
