no choice ... transit is chit here... only Montreal has a real subway that goes to enough useful places... even their building stagnated for a while.. but now they go under the river on the north end also to Laval.. and more stations planned for next year.. Toronto spends all its time on political BS... They've had forty years prior to all the QE BS to expand.. no vision here... just talk... a really poorly run city... champ by default.. because the separatist movement killed Montreal's growth as financial centre.. otherwise they would still be rolling the carpets up here in Toronto after 8:00PM Toronto is concentrating now as a result.. Condos condos condos.. along existing transit... so guess what those prices are :O)... still living in a cheap gas world mentality here... and gas tax is huge revenue for government... Amazing that poor broke Montreal continues to lead the way.. rest of Canadian cities you are right.. just too small for subways... 'small' Chinese cities are twice the size of Toronto or Montreal unless you include Toronto environs to say Hamilton in a Chongching like scenario.. but we cannot get any integration going.. no political will... just hot air... EDIT: Besides trucking does not want cheap mass transit.. fewer roads needed then and then there goes their natural subsidy,... Politics and mismanagement ... not really QE... late for ski race practice.. gotta run before the snow melts.. still looking forward to Mq's mini ice age ...
