The D6 has GPS and wifi, so crawling in that direction. The GPS is cool, but with the fault that even with the camera off there seems to be a huge battery drain if the GPS setting is on. Other day I hadn't touched the camera for two days and the battery was zero.

Read the instructions for wifi and its anything but intuitive and I can't see how I would use it??? Upload photos from the camera to Facebook? Why, when I upload to iPhoto they automatically stream to my iPad and iPhone through iCloud, at a usable size.

I think Canon and Nikon are doomed... too mired in yesterday. Big bulky things that are a serious pain to carry. That said I bought an over the shoulder sling type strap for $16 that makes the hiking with camera part soooo much better.

Got to get over and see the local camera store guy. I remember when I used to work in a camera store and people would come in and I would spend an hour "fitting" them for their perfect camera. "Here, hold it like this, how does the Olympus feel in your hands?" . Then they would come back a week later having bought the camera from somewhere else because it was $5 cheaper and wanted me to show them how to use it. Pissed me off... told them to go back to the guy they bought it from. Ingrates are all around us.
