I use SP7Z signals to trade OEX. I rarely pay
attention to where the OEX is except during
expiration week.

Looking at Nemer's points and converting the
SP7Z points we worked on yesterday to OEX, it
translates as follows,

POINT Nemer SP7Z conversion

S2 462.00 462.73

S1 464.00 464.70

Pivot 466.15 467.32

R1 468.00 469.40

R2 470.00 472.00

It seems to be similar until we get to the pivot
then diverges providing Nemer with the more
conservative upside resistance. I guess for a
short-seller that's okay, but for my purposes
(if I used pivots at all, for that matter) the
variance is not significant.

Pit traders also use point and figure. Pivots are
just another tool...as I say, I don't know anyone
who relies on them...it's just something to be aware
of and factor into the equation.
