Hi GZ,
I hope you had a good holidays. I have been following your thread for a long time but have not been actively trading for awhile but am thinking about starting up again. I think I understand most about how you make trades and how you keep track of the trades throughout the year and the cumulative gains and losses. What I don't understand is how much you allocate for each trade. For example, at the end of 2010, you had a short position that you closed on 1/2/11 with a loss of $950. How much did you have into the trade? And then with the long position you entered, how much was allocated and where did it come from --2010 profits? I look forward to your clarification or letting me know of a post where you talked about his issue previously. Thanks.
