Today i made the call early & often on twitter as i have been all along. With the Davidson upgrade and nothing further to come out to support Ackmans thesis forseeably, it was game on from the open, lets put a squeeze on. And i like the way its been trading, pulled back when it should have & trading up in a steady determined flow.

The several days of severe take down after Ackman news & meeting it was a short-at-will situation when these kinds of trading vortexes form you hit quick & hard buidling up a buffer and profit hard. But my mind will automatically start to flag to the bounce side after the easy shorts have been covered when stock becomes far into the extreme oversold range. You dont get greedy towards the end, you do that when the stock is caught up higher in the negative storm, the tape two days following his short call you could have shorted 100k shrs without much worry thats a feel thing after seeing so many of these transpire.

If just rested on the meet with the company & their rebuttal that wouldn't have drawn me or many in, this became the perfect event driven value investment when Danniel & Icahn got involved as very strong oppositon. Had already scalped a long off 25's for one deadcat bounce and the next day the final bounce back off lows which was also a set up, for the short thesis had been all but priced in & terribly oversold

(any time you short must not get greedy, same as longs )

Its a feel thing, had Ackman's thesis had true validity it wouldnt have been so steady on the rebound to $30 and started suspecting some larger capital getting involved trading that bounce & sensing the order flow on the tape, until even the short at $42 i took last week was only technical trade for i was still seeing an underpinning support at $38.

But today it was game on from the start, like the earlier shorts last month you hit bids heavy & maximize profits going with the current momentums, plenty of time later to be a legal philosopher. Up around 48-50 i would start to think fair valued now but lets see what the general market which is toppy now does.
