Taxes on foreign stocks are done just like any other transactions - I load them from the broker into Quicken. LOL. IB will translate the value of the stock straight in USD. That is pretty much the end of it.
I have a foreign brokerage account that has Euro as a base currency. For this account, I translate the stock prices in USD. Dividends and interest are put in per 1099 that they sent me every year.
