Yes, I do live in San Diego, just a stones throw from QCOM which is in a beautiful renovated location here. I'm not a techi by any means nor do I have a firm grip on the success or failure of CDMA, though I would bet my surf board that they'll succeed in the long run. I do understand the markets and right now the news is negative on QCOM and that is always the time to buy if you believe in the company. This is a trading stock and remains so until they show a constant earnings pattern which then allows one to correctly value future worth.

If you can't sleep at night owning this stock you might want to stay out of it because it will remain volatile for the next 6 months as we all wait for positive/negative earnings results. If you want to buy it wait until earnings come out in October then buy so you don't get caught in any surprises like April 96.

I do have friends that work there and I do on occasion frequent the microbrewery that a lot of the employees hang out at and believe me they're confident this technology will succeed.

hope this helps, craig
