The only way the powers that be are going to get rid of that debt is by inflating it away. If they can't and the dollar dies, then the only option is to rebuild the dollar by re-establishing some sort of hard asset peg

Everyone has their opinion however yours and mine differ.

There has never been a economically successful country that taxed and spent their way into prosperity or that has inflated their money supply and bought back their own debt with newly printed dollars in order to become a prosperous country so debt and inflation is the path to destruction.

If this is the case (which it is) than it will not be metal but rather guns and ammunition that people should be and are investing in.

On the other hand, cutting taxes and the size of the tax consuming hogs has always ended with a growing economy and a painless fix to those who experiment with communism in our country.

In my case I will play any side of the investment scenario and remain prosperous.
