Samsung ATIV S gets Chinese network certification

The Samsung ATIV S has made the trip to China to bolster the Windows Phone cause in the country.

The handset has not been announced on any carrier, but has just passed through Ministry of Industry certification, and may go to the large unlocked market in the country.

If sold there however it is not expected to be cheap. CNMO.com expects it to be around 4,000 Yuan or $642, making it a rather premium device. It will of course be the largest-screened Windows Phone there, a feature that is particularly valued in China and which may help justify the price.
