Let me give you one more to work out, since you like to establish "foundations" and get to the meaning of things. What does it mean to say that a Cauchy random variable has no average? I don't want the definition (since I know it) but it would be nice to have the meaning, and the implication for related random variables. And from there, we can address things like the meaning of randomness.
