CSMA on the SEC - Spoke to Mike The Spokesman. He says that the company has no way to know that any illegal shorting is going on. Wish I'd recorded all this, he talks real quick, like a guy with a million phone calls. He says that if the SEC investigates and sees anything funny, they halt trading. For whatever period of time trading is halted, people become even more nervous and bail big time when trading resumes. This, he feels is a bad thing. Me too.
Mike's bottom line is that market forces will keep things in order and that financials/fundamentals will carry the day. This guy is so enthusiastic about the company, all the latest news, the upcoming three months or so (I hope I quoted that right) and the long term future, that he makes Franco sound like a whiner.
As I told him, my SEC commentary was not intended as a shot at the company, but a shot for the company. If they say no thanks, then that's it for me.
FINANCIALS WERE RELEASED AND DISTRIBUTED AT THE SHAREHOLDERS MEETING. This was something else I sniped about. He offered to mail me a copy (accepted).
Satisfied and back to lurking.
