Why should I? Legislators propose useless legislation all the time. Now the concern about high capacity magazine is a valid one. But nobody is going to print a rifled barrel anytime soon. The receiver is sort of doable, but I wouldn't want to be anywhere near the damned thing when the trigger is pulled. PLA or ABS shards could kill you.

I am not a plastics guy. But I am pretty sure that about the only plastics that can come anywhere close to taking the sort of pressures that a receiver has to withstand are thermoset plastics. And those cannot be extruded because they have to be extruded to make the filament. Having a printhead with a built-in extruder would be a massive thing that would be not very practical. It basically would have to be devoted to making gun parts.
