i suspect you feel we have destroyed our future by signing a college coach:) Well Lurie made his decision with CONVICTION. i thus him my support(Did i interview Kelly for 9 hours?? Ha-No--so i have no right to say i know it was the wrong decision--no right at all, but i do know Lurie could NOY pick a coach that fits Foles--as we can that would be a wild gamble aswe do NOT know if he is a franchise QB--no one knows--he is not a Griffin or Brady, that from their first game , it was obvious they were franchise QBs With Aaron Rogers it took several years before he got the chance and 2 years before he was established as a franchise QB.
One thing is Kelly's QB needs think FAST making decision fast, in a complex system. Foles is said to be a very fast learner.(One thing that will not haunt us:Russell Wilson went as the 12thpick in 3rd round and Fole #25
It is obvious now Wilson is already STAR QUALITY, a blue ribbon franchise QB.
Vick wants a yes no decision on himself NOW! He says it would wrong to keep him through the entire off-season, thern release him--i esitmate there at least 4 teams that will compete to sign Vick--including Bradley's team, the Jaguars. Alex Smith and Flynn were both beaten out by superior young talent---but Smith in trade??? i don't know about that--hmmmm.
But here is what Kelly and Roseman are saying and the writer:
""Our offense is always going to be tailored to who's playing," Kelly said.
He may have no other choice but to play Foles. But if he watches the film from last season and doesn't see a starter in the 6-foot-6, 243-pound quarterback, Roseman made it clear that the Eagles would do whatever it took to get Kelly his starter.

"We told coach Kelly - and what we told all the coaches [they interviewed] - was that we would make sure that we had every resource to our disposal to get them the pieces in place that they felt they needed to win a world championship," Roseman said.

Getting that quarterback is much easier said than done. There is no Robert Griffin III in this year's draft - at least that's the general consensus with three months till the draft. There are no attractive getable free agents. There are a few backup quarterbacks - like the 49ers' Alex Smith and the Seahawks' Matt Flynn - who could be acquired via trade."

Kelly will watching film of Foles over and over. Plus yards and yards of QBs in the draft.
