By having Congress specifically disallow funding for the release of the data. funding to release data? If data exists.......and there is plenty of govt generated data on crime, it doesn't require funds to release. But, it is prudent to not allow politics to mix with science. Look at the mess we are in on global warming. Obama wants the CDC to come to the conclusions he wants and will pay for it. But any outside organization can take the data and come up with conclusions. If they did the conclusions would likely be split along ideological lines. The American people need not pay for that. By inserting language into a bill in 2006 that requires Senate confirmation. And then filibustering anyone who is appointed. Fortunately the Senate has a say......... I told you why he was filibustered ......Traver was/is an anti gun zealot.........propose a reasonable candidate and he/she is likely to pass........this Jones guy also has issues. Apparently one of Bush's choices was "shot" down also. by the way.......you are full of yourself
