Why are so many people angry with Brad for selling? What has he done that's so wrong?

When he bought it back he honored all memberships (which he was under no obligation to honor)
He refunded money to those asked
He offered free memberships
He made major improvements
He spent countless hours devoted to SI.
He gave us a free, spam free site.
Free t-shirts!
He paid attention to special requests for more features and implemented most of them.
He spent his money rather than ours.

So why is he being bashed for selling and recouping some (hopefully a bundle more) money? It was his company and he had every right to sell it.

Haters. I don't get it.

Edit: Okay, so I'm not overly thrilled with the new logo. But I suppose that's the SI gang having a farewell party?
