The Republican attacks on science have caused more and more scientists to vote Democrat out of self-preservation. What do you expect?

I mean really. How many academics do you *know*?

I suppose it depends on what definition of *know* you use. I graduated with a Masters of Computer Engineering in 2007. I have a brother-in-law with a PhD in genetics. But he started a biotech company so I suppose he doesn't count as an academic. I know people with PgDs in philosophy and several other disciplines. We ex-wife is in the final stages getting her PhD in philosophy. I have even had carnal knowledge of more than one.

You are ignoring this part.

The second dimension (vertical or y-axis) picks up attitudes on cross-cutting, salient issues of the day (which include or have included slavery, bimetallism, civil rights, regional, and social/lifestyle issues).

Probably because it trashes your narrative.
