A Winter in the Great White North thought on Bulls, Bears and Black Swans..... It appears the argument between China and Japan over some island surrounded by oil prone sea bed may quickly escalate into regional conflict. Given USA's commitment to protect Japan, I believe US (and Japanese) companies with significant supply chain exposure to China have a big potential problem. Apple's supply chain is anchored in China, along with Wallmart's and others. My only idea on this is to buy some cheap out of the money puts hoping they expire worthless. A bear japan ETF might work too. Comments appreciated.
