I totally agree that design matters. Both operationally and aesthetically.

I don't know how many members SI has, but I suspect that it is in the vicinity of 200,000. I would also bet that the membership only increases a couple thousand individual a year. I would also bet that the bulk of the content is posted by 5% of the members. Of those posts, probably only 10% are stock or investment related. The good news is that I don't think that the new owners will care about the content of the posts.

This is either the death of SI or a brave new world. I definitely see a path to a happy ending (though it does involve a pretty massage therapist).
