Anyone that concludes the idea a 32oz Pepsi is more dangerous than 32oz of beer is off their rocker. And banning salt shakers in restaurants?

It's not about one single 32 oz. Pepsi. It's about the fact that portion sizes have been creeping up and creeping up and creeping up, and people have been gradually consuming more and more sugar because of it over the years. And the beverage companies have done it by design -- the marginal cost of a few ounces of additional soda is very, very little, but the marginal revenue from getting people to buy their soda again the next day because they're addicted is pretty darned high. And this is pretty darned effective among kids.

How large were the Pepsis you were buying when you were a kid? How big are they now?

And, if you haven't noticed, alcohol is pretty darned regulated in this country.

And no one has banned salt shakers. Do you really believe that to be the case?

>You really think the politicians pushing gun control really give a shit about the kids don't you?

Does it matter? I do happen to believe most of them do, but even if they didn't, I do believe that some gun control measures will save some lives.
