I agree with everything you say here, Steve. I'll readily admit that gun registration laws probably won't put a measurable dent in the amount of gun violence. There are just too many variables involved when it comes to crime statistics. I do think, though, that advocates for unrestricted ownership of firearms aren't doing themselves a favor by drawing a hard line against any new regulations whatsoever. In times like these, they'll just end up marginalizing themselves and blaming the liberal media, the hypocrisy of Hollywood, etc. "The greatest trick the devil played is convincing the world he doesn't exist." No more consequences for your actions beyond the seen world. If you're a loser, go shoot up a school and you'll be famous forever. No atheist can give me a secular solution to all of this, except by placing faith in psychology or some other science that amounts to brain chemistry. Tenchusatsu
