all should wonder about the german gold

at some juncture in the future the german repatriation of gold may well be termed 'the end of the beginning of gold suppression'

am also wondering why two years in a roll we experienced year-end drubbing of gold, and the immediate bounce back on first trading day of new year

didn't volcker at some point say he regretted not paying enough attention to smacking gold when he was taming inflation expectations?

and never mind the german ask for fed-stored gold, how about the ask for paris-stored gold ... is like asking for return of engagement / wedding ring

in any case gold makes for good wondering

i suppose the germans can simply buy some derivative to hedge the entirety of their 3xxx tons of not-missing gold and gradually sell off the hedge as the real gold rolls in from new york

for all we know the real gold could already be in either india or china
